A Message from the ESO President and Chair Congress Planning Group
ESOC 2022 has been an enormous success scientifically, but in addition it has given us the possibility to meet each other in person after two years of mostly virtual meetings. It has shown us all that online conferences are alternatives for in-person meetings if needed but cannot truly replace these. A face-to-face interaction with colleagues has advantages that became clear again in Lyon. We all could see, and experience great trial results being presented in the plenary sessions; young and enthusiastic researchers anxious to present their data to a room filled with people; interactive poster presentations and social gatherings in between the sessions.
We are planning ESOC 2023 to bring you exactly that atmosphere of great science, exciting trials, social interactions, and opportunities. ESO has decided that it will move forward with the planning of a full onsite conference in May 24-26, 2023, to stimulate stroke researchers from all over the world to travel to Munich and enjoy all aspects of this yearly large stroke conference. We believe this will again become a meeting point for presenting research and building collaborations with the interest of improving stroke care.
The scientific programme is currently being prepared and will be revealed online soon followed by the opening of our abstract submission. We are looking forward to your abstract being submitted and your presence in May 2023 to make this a meeting as exciting as the many ESO Conferences before.
